Fund Operations Manager

What you'll do:

As Fund Operations Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational lifecycle of multiple investment funds. Your day-to-day responsibilities will span monthly income attribution tasks through to complex portfolio analytics and investor communications. You will be instrumental in managing liquidity forecasts and cashflow planning while ensuring seamless execution of drawdowns, settlements and redemptions. The position requires you to prepare comprehensive board papers for annual reviews as well as coordinate tax filings and audits. You will also support the onboarding process for new investors by conducting thorough AML/KYC checks. Working collaboratively with both internal teams—such as Investor Relations—and external partners like custodians or legal advisors is essential. Your attention to detail will underpin every aspect of fund operations from data integrity checks to policy development. As you grow within the role there is scope to expand into asset management functions including loan return calculations and covenant monitoring. • Manage monthly and quarterly fund processes including income attribution, expense allocation, fund modelling using three-way statements, distributions, portfolio analytics, and investor updates.
• Oversee portfolio allocation and planning by forecasting liquidity and cashflow needs, coordinating drawdowns and settlements, handling redemptions, fee sharing arrangements, rebates, SPV creation and management.
• Prepare board papers and coordinate annual processes such as tax filings, audits, investor updates, rating agency reviews, information memorandum refreshes or supplements.
• Support feeder funds operations including FX hedging activities; facilitate onboarding of new investors through AML/KYC checks and due diligence questionnaires.
• Assist with dataroom management for investor relations team support; participate in structuring new funds or separately managed accounts (SMAs), including offshore funds setup.
• Optimise tax and legal structures for new funds; conduct ad hoc analyses related to fund leverage or asset/loan management such as return calculations, covenant monitoring, borrowing onboarding, reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including CFO team members (onshore/offshore), Investor Relations team, Investment Team, General Counsel, Secretary, CEO, Credit/Investment Committee and Board of Directors.
• Engage with external stakeholders such as fund service providers (registry, custodian, bank, FX partners), tax advisors, legal counsel, investors and borrowers to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy in sense checking data inputs/outputs for consistency and formatting; flag issues early on to ensure transparency across all processes.
• Contribute to policy development for fund management practices; provide ongoing support for IR team initiatives and participate in continuous improvement projects.
