Claims Manager
This is a role for someone who wants more than process. You’ll take ownership of complex insurance claims and be trusted to make balanced, real world decisions that directly impact people’s lives. The opportunity
You will manage a portfolio of life, disability and income protection claims, taking full accountability for case management and decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing an end to end claims portfolio, driving timely and fair outcomes
- Assessing entitlement through careful review of medical, contractual and occupational information
- Conducting structured member conversations to fully understand individual circumstances
- Developing practical, outcome focused return to work strategies
- Working collaboratively with members, employers and health professionals
- Communicating decisions clearly and professionally, including complex or sensitive outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards
This is a role where technical capability and professional judgement are equally important.
About you
You will bring a strong customer mindset, alongside the ability to manage complexity and make well reasoned decisions.
Your background may include claims, case management, insurance or a related customer focused environment. You will demonstrate:
- Experience managing sensitive or complex customer interactions
- Strong analytical and problem solving capability
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple cases
- Emotional intelligence and a professional, balanced approach Experience in life or disability insurance, rehabilitation, early intervention or health related sectors will be well regarded.
