Senior Electrical Engineer - Solar & BESS * Sydney CBD * Work across utility scale plants & projects * Pays up to $190,000 + super

Growing renewable energy company is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in the CBD of Sydney. Experience working across utility-scale solar plants will be required for this role.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide specialist electrical engineering support to control room operators during day-to-day operations.
• Support plant managers & site technicians in rectifying issues.
• Lead root cause analysis of plant events using internal resources as well as external expertise.
• Manage warranty claims efficiently while supporting minor operations and maintenance projects that enhance asset reliability.
• Interpret and verify service test reports with meticulous attention to detail.
• Investigate and address NSP/AEMO/GPS compliance issues
• Perform remote switching of solar plants and associated equipment when required, maintaining safety protocols throughout all procedures.
• Conduct HV switching operations including preparation of HV switching sheets
• Support the delivery and development of projects.

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering and several years of utility scale solar plant operations
• Knowledge & understanding of power generation systems and SCADA.
• Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale infrastructure or manufacturing facilities
• Familiar with AEMO/NSP operational requirements
• Excellent communication & engagement skills
