Our global insurance client is seeking a senior data specialist who also has a background within a Risk/Compliance environment. Please apply if you have worked across both Data and Risk.

What you'll do:

As a Data Analyst specialising in Risk, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's business. You will be responsible for using your expertise in coding and data analytics tools to analyse transactional data, risk event themes, issues and other relevant data sources. Your ability to develop internal dashboards for assurance reporting will be crucial in this role. You will also be expected to engage in a culture of innovation, constantly refining and improving data analysis techniques. Your commitment to delivering timely, high-quality analysis will drive success across all parts of the assurance lifecycle.

• Use coding and data analytics tools to deliver analysis of transactional data, risk event themes, issues and complimentary or contrasting data sources.
• Develop internal dashboards to deliver insights for assurance reporting to risk committees.
• Develop scenarios for interrogation and analysis based on the contents of data sets.
• Engage in a culture of innovation that supports ongoing refinement and improvements to data analysis techniques.
• Deliver timely high-quality analysis of data for all parts of the assurance lifecycle.
• Participate in the delivery of end-to-end assurance reviews by providing data interrogation and process evaluation techniques.

This role offers the chance to lead solution design for data assets, including ETL - data ingestion/processing design, data models, and leading standards and delivery according to the design of data products on a state-of-the-art data analytics platform. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team overseeing the design and migration of data products onto the company's innovative platform. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Sydney.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Data Solution Designer, you will play a pivotal role in providing thought leadership for end-to-end Data Products and guiding squads of data engineers to deliver high-quality data products. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's innovative platform by contributing to strategy and planning for the ongoing development of their data foundation. Your expertise will be crucial in planning changes to data design frameworks and standards necessary for delivering top-notch data services. You will also liaise with various teams to plan changes to platform and application architecture that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

• Provide inputs into Strategy and Planning for ongoing development of data foundation
• Responsible for planning any changes to data design frameworks and standards required to deliver quality data services
• Liaise with division IT architecture, Group data architecture, and data platforms team to plan for any changes to platform and application architecture needed to deliver and meet data services functional and non-functional requirements
• Lead design of data assets for QSIGHT data foundation primarily on the Common Data Model and solution design (ETL/ELT frameworks, CI/CD, Realtime Integration etc) for specific projects across assigned value stream
• Maintain and enrich data design standards and methodology, to meet ongoing data service requirements
• Provide oversight on data design across all value stream chapters (e.g. Claims, Underwriting etc.)
