Senior Salesforce Developer

A highly respected government department in Brisbane is seeking a Salesforce Developer with extensive experience to join their collaborative team on a six-month contract. Roles and responsibilities:

• Write comprehensive test classes for both new and existing Apex classes and triggers, maintaining system reliability and upholding quality assurance standards throughout the software lifecycle.

• Develop and optimise Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWCs) to ensure robust functionality across the Salesforce platform, supporting business-critical applications.

• Design, develop, and refine Visualforce pages tailored for Experience Cloud sites, enhancing user engagement and delivering seamless digital experiences.
• Create and sustain integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs, facilitating smooth data exchange and interoperability between platforms.
• Assist in maintaining online forms as well as software integrations to support evolving business needs and ensure operational continuity.
• Contribute to penetration testing efforts while upholding data security standards throughout all areas of the Salesforce ecosystem, safeguarding sensitive information at every stage.
• Provide prompt user support by addressing questions, resolving technical issues efficiently, and offering proactive guidance to maximise user satisfaction and confidence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing Salesforce implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations through effective problem-solving strategies.
• Identify training needs among staff members, develop engaging materials, and deliver sessions to onboard new users while enhancing overall proficiency with Salesforce tools.
  
  
  

The ideal candidate:

• Demonstrated experience developing robust solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), and Visualforce pages over at least ten years.
• Proven ability to write effective test classes for both new features and legacy codebases within complex Salesforce environments.
• Strong understanding of REST API integration techniques for connecting Salesforce with third-party systems securely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with maintaining online forms as well as managing software integrations that support diverse business functions across large organisations.
• Awareness of best practices in penetration testing along with a commitment to upholding data security standards across all aspects of Salesforce usage.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills enabling you to quickly identify root causes of issues within existing implementations and provide effective resolutions that minimise disruption.
• Experience providing user support—addressing queries promptly while offering clear guidance that enhances overall user confidence with Salesforce tools.
• Ability to develop engaging training materials tailored for different audiences; experience delivering onboarding or upskilling sessions is advantageous.

Willingness to assist with administrative tasks such as onboarding new users or maintaining dashboards/reports when required.
