HR Business Partner

Heathgate is privately owned and operated, with a remote mining operation east of the Flinders Range and its Head Office in Adelaide’s CBD. We are seeking for Heathgate an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to support the delivery of strategic and operational people initiatives. You will provide specialist advice and trusted guidance to designated business units on employee relations, performance management, remuneration and people management that help drive a high-performance culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments and company policies. You will make a meaningful contribution to enhancing the employee experience throughout the entire employment lifecycle.

About You

You are a proactive and influential HR professional who thrives in operational environments. You like challenge and variety, and enjoy building strong stakeholder relationships. Ideally you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related discipline
• Experience in a HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role within mining, resources, manufacturing or similar complex operational environment
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and credibility with employees and leaders
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments
• Strong employee and industrial relations knowledge and capability
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative, hands-on approach and a passion for developing people
• Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of FIFO workforce models and challenges of remote FIFO operations
• Experience and proficiency with HRIS and strong MS Office skills

You must be willing and able to undertake periodic travel to the Beverley mining operation to provide on-site HR support when needed, and partner effectively with operational leaders and site-based teams.
