We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our HR Team in Adelaide on a temporary contract. Working closely with employees and leaders, you'll provide trusted HR advice and operational support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role that combines HR administration, employee support, compliance, onboarding, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to deliver a positive and seamless employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Manage HR administration activities and employee requests, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data is current, accurate, and confidential.
  • Prepare and issue HR documentation, including employment contracts, contract variations, salary review letters, and employee correspondence.
  • Ensure HR processes and documentation comply with internal policy, approval frameworks, and employment legislation.
  • Manage and respond to HR inbox enquiries in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, probation reviews, promotions, transfers, leave changes, and employee exits.
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities, including pre-employment requirements, system access, and employee communications.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce data, and people metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Assist with performance review processes, employee engagement initiatives, and development activities.
  • Support employee relations matters and provide administrative assistance for workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes as required.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance processes, systems, and employee experience.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources Advisor, HR Coordinator, or HR Administration role within an Australian workplace.
  • Sound understanding of the employee lifecycle, HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Experience preparing HR documentation, including employment contracts, variations, and employee correspondence.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, record management, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms, employee databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle sensitive employee matters professionally and confidentially.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute to team initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline preferred.
  • AHRI membership, or a commitment to ongoing professional development, is highly regarded.
