HR Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join a high-performing People & Culture function within a growing professional services organisation.
Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, this role will provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to the continued development of HR systems, processes and employee initiatives.

You will gain exposure across recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, learning and development, performance, compliance, employee engagement and broader HR projects.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities across multiple vacancies, including advertising, candidate screening, interview scheduling and offer administration.
- Prepare employment contracts and coordinate pre-employment and onboarding requirements.
- Ensure new starters have a seamless onboarding experience, including system setup, induction coordination and Day 1 readiness.
- Support intern and graduate recruitment programs, including university liaison, interviews, scheduling and cohort coordination.
- Coordinate and deliver employee inductions and ensure induction materials remain current and engaging.
- Maintain accurate recruitment, position and headcount records.
HR Systems & Administration
- Administer and maintain the organisation’s HRIS/payroll platform, ensuring employee information, leave and compliance records remain accurate.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, automate manual processes and enhance the employee experience through better use of HR technology.
- Prepare employment contracts, variations and general HR correspondence.
- Maintain employee files, HR documentation, policies, procedures and the Employee Handbook.
- Coordinate administrative requirements associated with performance review cycles.
- Conduct HR audits and follow up on actions to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and assist with HR reporting and people metrics.
- Manage candidate enquiries through the Careers mailbox.
Learning, Development & Employee Engagement
- Coordinate learning and development activities, including calendars, training providers and participant communications.
- Support the delivery of employee development programs and graduate rotations.
- Monitor mandatory training and compliance requirements.
- Assist with employee wellbeing initiatives, EAP administration and engagement activities.
- Coordinate engagement surveys and assist with actions arising from employee feedback.
- Contribute ideas for initiatives that improve employee experience, retention and workplace culture.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide first-line assistance with general HR queries, escalating more complex matters to the HR Manager.
- Support right-to-work checks and other HR compliance requirements.
- Coordinate employee offboarding, including documentation, checklists and system access requirements.
- Handle confidential and sensitive employee information with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support broader People & Culture projects, including governance reviews and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline existing HR processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist with internal communications and firm-wide people initiatives.
- Provide project and administrative support to the HR Manager across strategic HR priorities.
About You
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
- 1–3 years' HR experience within professional services, such as banking, legal or accounting; or 3–5 years' experience in a similar HR Coordinator position within another industry.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
- Previous experience using an HRIS platform, with Employment Hero experience highly regarded.
- Exposure to recruitment and onboarding across multiple concurrent vacancies.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to your work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional manner.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in continuous improvement.
Experience supporting performance reviews, learning and development programs, graduate recruitment, employee wellbeing or engagement initiatives would be advantageous.
