Robert Walters was a recent finalist at the 2023 RCSA Awards held in Sydney in the category of Excellence in Business Innovation. Here is our story of innovation:

As a business in 2022 we introduced Onboarded, a cloud-based employee onboarding platform to transform the registration and onboarding process for our candidates and contractors.

Working in close collaboration with the platform founder, Raj Soni, a team of candidate facing consultants and business partners, led by our ANZ Project Manager, ensured that a 360-degree approach was adopted to analyse each touchpoint of this experience. The team completed research to understand the wants and needs of our candidates to remap this journey. 

The core challenge that Onboarded needed to overcome was that candidates and contractors had to interact with multiple, disconnected, platforms to effectively register and become compliant to partner with Robert Walters in their career search.

By introducing Onboarded, we have been able to redesign the customer experience for registration and onboarding

Access to all relevant registration documentation is now provided in one platform, which is both mobile and desktop friendly. No passwords or logins are required and candidates have a clear visual representation of the % completion of their registration and onboarding.

For Robert Walters consultants, the registration and onboarding cycle is viewed in one dashboard. Our consultants can view the complete information packs on each candidate and contractor in real time and can therefore assist them as they work through their registration and onboarding process.

The benefits of implementing this platform have been significant, with:

• Time to register reduced from 30 minutes to 3 minutes and onboard from 6 hours to 15 minutes
• 4.7 out of 5 average feedback score from both candidates and contractors when using Onboarded
• Tightened control over documentation and candidate/contractor information
