What you'll do:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and finalising transaction documentation including financing agreements, investment agreements, shareholder arrangements, and associated legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Acting as lead lawyer on investment transactions by coordinating internal stakeholders and external legal advisers to facilitate successful outcomes under the oversight of senior legal team members.
  • Interpret legislative frameworks to assess eligibility of prospective investments and contribute to informed decision-making processes within the organisation.
  • Advise on governance matters including legislative, regulatory, and operational issues affecting the organisation’s mandate.

What you bring:

  • Qualified Australian legal practitioner holding a current practising certificate with at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience gained within leading law firms or comparable in-house environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise advising on debt financing transactions with exposure to project finance, structured finance, corporate finance, asset finance or private credit sectors.
  • Highly developed drafting skills coupled with strong negotiation abilities and stakeholder management capabilities reflecting integrity and ethical standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills facilitating effective prioritisation in dynamic environments where adaptability is essential.
  • Experience within government entities or regulated financial services environments is highly regarded but not mandatory.
