Managing sophisticated estate planning and administration matters, you will work closely with the firm's leadership team while mentoring others and contributing to the continued development of the practice. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Senior Wills & Estates Lawyer to join an established Perth legal practice and take a leading role across its Estate Planning and Estate Administration practice.
This position would suit an experienced lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, combining technically sophisticated private client work with the opportunity to mentor others and develop towards a future leadership or Head of Department position.
The Role
Working across a broad and sophisticated Wills & Estates practice, you will:
- Manage complex estate planning matters, including sophisticated Wills, testamentary trusts and tailored estate planning structures.
- Oversee comprehensive and complex Estate Administration matters from commencement through to completion.
- Provide high-quality, commercially considered advice to clients across a range of estate planning and succession matters.
- Manage matters autonomously while working closely with the firm's leadership team.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance and senior insight to junior lawyers and the broader team.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and professional referral networks.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Wills & Estates practice.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
- Approximately 7+ years' post-admission experience, with substantial experience in Wills & Estates.
- Strong technical expertise across both Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
- Demonstrated experience preparing complex Wills and testamentary trusts and advising on sophisticated estate planning structures.
- The ability to independently manage complex estate administration matters.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the confidence to advise clients on sensitive and complex matters.
- An interest in mentoring and developing others.
- A desire to progress your career into a senior leadership position over time.
