Join a highly collaborative Melbourne team, work alongside experienced principals and gain exposure to sophisticated commercial and residential matters - from development and acquisitions to leasing, conveyancing and PEXA. With genuine career development, flexible working and a supportive culture, you’ll have the opportunity to grow, contribute and thrive.
As a Property Law Clerk, you’ll play a key role in supporting a busy property practice, working closely with experienced principals and contributing across a diverse range of commercial and residential matters.
You’ll:
- Manage commercial and residential property matters from inception through to completion, including acquisitions, sales and conveyancing.
- Support property development projects, including off-the-plan, high-rise apartment and Greenfields transactions.
- Assist with leasing, stamp duty, basic property finance and interstate matters, particularly NSW and Queensland transactions.
- Manage PEXA transactions and ensure files, documentation and correspondence are accurate, organised and up to date.
- Identify issues early, escalate matters appropriately and apply sound judgement to keep transactions progressing smoothly.
- Work closely with principals and the wider team to deliver high-quality client outcomes, meet billing requirements and contribute to knowledge sharing.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a property law clerk or similar legal role, with solid knowledge of property transactions.
- Strong file management, drafting and attention to detail, with the ability to manage matters independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience across conveyancing, acquisitions, sales, development and leasing; interstate experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with PEXA and confidence using Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems such as iManage or Affinity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine commitment to responsive, professional client service.
- A solutions-focused, collaborative mindset, sound judgement and a proactive approach to learning, feedback and professional development.
