SAP Project Manager

This is a Perth-based, 6-month rolling contract within a large enterprise technology environment. An experienced SAP Project Manager is required to lead the delivery of two significant SAP transformation workstreams: Technical SAP S/4HANA conversion. The successful candidate will join the programme during the early stages of procurement and partner selection, providing the opportunity to influence implementation strategy, delivery methodology, and program planning.

The Opportunity

An experienced SAP Project Manager is required to lead the delivery of two significant SAP transformation workstreams:

• Technical SAP S/4HANA conversion
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementation

This is a Perth-based, 6-month rolling contract within a large enterprise technology environment.

The successful candidate will join the programme during the early stages of procurement and partner selection, providing the opportunity to influence implementation strategy, delivery methodology, programme planning, and the selection of implementation partners.

The role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of both workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while meeting quality and governance requirements. Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, implementation partners and vendors, the Project Manager will coordinate delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Regular reporting to senior leadership will be required, providing clear updates on project status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and financial performance to support programme-level decision making.

The role also includes responsibility for project governance, resource management and ensuring operational and financial administration is maintained throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a technical SAP S/4HANA conversion, including landscape planning, environment management, conversion cycles, testing, cutover planning and execution.
• Manage the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP), including solution design, configuration, data migration, integrations, payroll parallel runs and go-live activities.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks and resource allocation across both workstreams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, system integrators and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and present regular executive-level reporting covering project progress, milestones, financial, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Maintain project governance artefacts, including RAID logs, while ensuring compliance with organisational governance, operational and financial processes.
• Manage project resources to ensure appropriate capability, availability and utilisation throughout delivery.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA technical conversion projects and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementations (essential).
• A strong track record managing complex SAP or enterprise application projects within large, multi-vendor environments.
• Solid understanding of SAP technical delivery, including system landscapes, conversion methodologies, testing, integration's, data migration and cut over planning.
• Experience with payroll implementation projects, particularly parallel payroll runs, will be highly regarded.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors and senior executives.
• Strong organisational skills with demonstrated experience managing governance, project administration, financial reporting and competing priorities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience within the mining or resources sector will be viewed favourably.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to the SAP Programme Director.
• Works closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, implementation partners and third-party vendors.
• Provides regular project reporting to senior executive stakeholders.
