Risk Systems Analyst / Technical BA

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Risk Systems Analyst to join a large-scale, multi-year transformation program focused on modernising the data, models and technology platforms underpinning critical risk functions.

This role sits within a high-profile transformation initiative responsible for reshaping the systems that support Stress Testing, Credit Provisions and Regulatory Capital capabilities. Working across business and technology teams, you will play a key role in defining requirements, supporting solution design, coordinating testing activities and ensuring successful delivery of complex change.

About the Role

As a Risk Systems Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across Risk, Technology and Data functions to understand business requirements and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.

You will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and process analysis through to testing, implementation and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document business and system requirements across risk and regulatory processes
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories and process maps
• Analyse existing systems, data flows and interfaces to support future-state solution design
• Define data mappings, transformation rules and system integration requirements
• Coordinate and support testing activities including SIT, UAT and business verification testing
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and decision-making
• Manage requirement traceability through design, build and testing phases
• Perform root cause analysis and support issue resolution activities
• Collaborate with delivery teams, vendors and subject matter experts to ensure successful implementation
• Support business readiness, change adoption and transition into production environments

About You

You are an experienced Business Systems Analyst who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving challenging business and technology problems.

You bring strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a proven track record delivering large-scale transformation initiatives within financial services.

Experience Required

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within complex enterprise environments
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and solution analysis capability
• Experience working across large transformation, regulatory or data-focused programs
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyse and validate complex datasets
• Proven experience supporting testing activities including UAT and system testing
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments

Highly Regarded

• Banking or financial services experience
• Exposure to Credit Risk, Stress Testing, Regulatory Capital or IFRS9 provisioning
• Experience working on risk, regulatory or finance transformation programs
• SAS experience
• Cloud migration, data platform or enterprise systems transformation experience
