Project Manager
We're partnering with a leading industry organisation embarking on a strategic pilot program to develop and launch a new industry certification product. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact initiative that will shape professional standards and deliver lasting value across the sector. Please note: This is a Fixed Term contract until December 2027.
As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of the pilot, working closely with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to ensure the program is delivered on time, within budget and achieves its intended outcomes.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible project where you'll have genuine ownership across planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery. You'll play a critical role in establishing a certification model that could become the benchmark for the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of an industry certification pilot program.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
- Drive governance activities including steering committees, reporting and decision forums.
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, industry representatives and delivery teams.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies.
- Ensure project outcomes align with business objectives and agreed success measures.
- Track benefits realisation and continuously monitor delivery performance.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to improving project delivery practices across the organisation.
About You
You'll be an experienced Project Manager who thrives in stakeholder-rich environments and enjoys delivering initiatives that have broad organisational and industry impact.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex business or transformation projects.
- Strong project governance, planning and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Experience managing project budgets, risks and delivery milestones.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work across multiple business functions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering certification, education, professional standards, membership or regulatory programs will be highly regarded but is not essential.
