Portfolio Delivery Manager

As a Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end oversight of portfolio delivery performance across assigned portfolios. This role requires a highly capable delivery professional with strong project management expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead complex initiatives from initiation through to completion. You will work closely with the Head of Portfolio Delivery to optimize delivery outcomes and ensure alignment with their strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Delivery Performance Oversight: Monitor and report on portfolio-level KPIs (schedule, budget, scope, quality, benefits) while proactively addressing risks and impediments.
- Integrated Portfolio Planning & Prioritization: Orchestrate integrated portfolio plans, including sequencing, roadmaps, capacity planning, and forecasts.
- Dependency & Resource Optimization: Manage interdependencies and resource allocation across initiatives to optimize capacity and delivery flow.
- Risk & Issue Management: Aggregate and oversee key risks and issues across the portfolio, ensuring clear ownership and mitigation plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project sponsors, executives, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing delivery practices by embedding lessons learned into future work.

- Strong project/program delivery skills with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives across diverse portfolios.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Commercial acumen with experience in financial management, forecasting, and investment tracking.
- Problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (highly desirable).
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in project or program management, particularly in delivering complex and large-scale initiatives.
- Previous portfolio experience
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PMBOK.
- Experience working in regulated environments (highly desirable).
