Program Director - Financial Crime Reforms

What you'll do:
As Program Director – Financial Crime Reforms based in Melbourne, you will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s response to evolving scams prevention regulations. You will define the SPF roadmap, develop integrated plans across fraud technology and customer channels, and oversee implementation across business and technology. You will manage risks and dependencies, lead governance forums, provide executive reporting, build senior stakeholder relationships and mentor multidisciplinary teams. You will also ensure sustainable controls are embedded into BAU, benefits are realised, and delivery remains aligned to regulatory requirements.
- Define and deliver an enterprise wide regulatory transformation program across business units and geographies.
- Coordinate Legal, Risk, Technology, Operations, Digital and Customer teams to deliver complex cross-functional change.
- Monitor regulatory delivery across fraud platforms, payment systems and digital channels.
- Embed risk-based decision-making and sustainable fraud prevention controls into delivery and BAU.
- Lead governance across SteerCo, executive and regulatory forums.
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, issues and compliance.
- Track benefits including risk reduction, compliance uplift and operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships across Fraud, Risk, Digital, Payments, Customer, Legal and Compliance.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project and delivery teams.
What you bring:
You will bring proven experience leading Financial Crime, Fraud, Risk or Regulatory transformation within banking, payments or another regulated environment. You will have strong experience managing enterprise-scale programs across business and technology, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering complex change in high-risk environments. Experience working with fraud operations and balancing regulatory requirements with customer outcomes will be highly valued.
- Extensive experience leading Financial Crime or Compliance transformations.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale programs across business and technology.
- Strong technical competence across data, systems, on boarding, monitoring and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executives, boards and regulators.
- Experience working closely with fraud operations and customer-facing teams.
- Strong governance, risk and stakeholder management capability.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and delivery partners.
