Business Development and Account Manager
The Company: My client is a leading multinational technology and engineering organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand. The company delivers innovative solutions spanning digital transformation, industrial technology, infrastructure, energy, transport, and managed services, supporting both public and private sector organisations. The Role: My client is seeking an experienced business development and sales professional to join its digital solutions division. This position focuses on driving growth across digital transformation initiatives, technology-enabled industry solutions, and sustainability-focused programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to the expansion of the organisation's digital services portfolio. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Sydney.
Responsibilities: The principal accountabilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Driving sales growth by identifying, pursuing, negotiating, and securing new business opportunities across digital and technology solution offerings.
- Managing and analysing the sales pipeline to monitor lead progression, forecast performance, and ensure sales targets are achieved.
- Preparing sales reports and analysing market and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to support customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth.
- Collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with broader organisational objectives.
- Contributing to the promotion and positioning of innovative technology and digital transformation solutions within target markets.
Experience and Requirements: To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of six years' sales, business development, or customer-facing experience.
- At least two years' experience within the IT, technology, or digital solutions sector.
- Experience working within multicultural or international business environments, with an understanding of diverse corporate decision-making processes and stakeholder management practices.
- Demonstrated experience engaging directly with Australian businesses and commercial customers.
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required.
- Strong business-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work autonomously whilst proactively engaging and collaborating with broader teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
