Test Analyst

Test Analyst, 6-month contract (Possibility of 6-month extension), Brisbane CBD A leading organisation in Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Test Analyst to join their collaborative and supportive team.

What you'll do:

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans to ensure all software meets agreed-upon standards and requirements.
• Follow established testing methodologies and quality assurance processes to deliver consistent and reliable results across multiple projects.
• Map business requirements to detailed test cases, ensuring complete coverage and traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Design, run, and assess both manual and automated testing activities, adapting your approach based on project needs and system complexity.
• Identify test requirements by analysing business needs, then create thorough test scenarios, scripts, and cases that address all functional aspects.
• Review testing outcomes meticulously, assess overall product quality, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve any identified issues or defects.
• Utilise industry-standard test management tools such as Azure DevOps and Atlassian Jira to document progress, track defects, and report on testing status.
• Write clear behaviour-driven development (BDD) test scripts that align with user stories and acceptance criteria for enhanced communication within the team.
• Quickly develop an understanding of complex business systems to ensure effective test planning and execution tailored to organisational needs.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated experience following established software testing standards, methods, and quality assurance processes within a collaborative environment.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain, and execute both manual and automated test plans across diverse projects.
• Strong skills in mapping requirements to test cases with a focus on achieving complete coverage and traceability throughout the testing process.
• Capability to design effective manual and automated tests tailored to specific project needs while assessing outcomes accurately.
• Experience identifying comprehensive test requirements by analysing business needs before creating detailed scenarios, scripts, and cases.
• Track record of reviewing testing outcomes thoroughly, assessing product quality objectively, and supporting issue resolution collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard tools such as Azure DevOps and Atlassian Jira for managing tests efficiently from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience writing behaviour-driven development (BDD) test scripts that enhance communication between technical teams and business users.
• Ability to quickly understand complex business systems in order to tailor testing approaches effectively.
