Business Analyst

The Role

As the Business Analyst, you will act as the link between operations and technology teams, helping to identify business needs, analyse solution performance, and drive continuous improvement. You'll work with data, video analytics, and site-based stakeholders to assess outcomes, facilitate workshops, and support technology implementation initiatives.

You will bring a strong understanding of both operational environments and technology projects, enabling you to translate complex requirements into practical solutions that improve safety and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops with operational and technical stakeholders to identify challenges and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate operational safety technology solutions against business and safety objectives.
• Analyse large volumes of operational, safety, and video-derived data to identify trends, insights, and recommendations.
• Work closely with site-based teams to understand processes, workflows, and operational requirements.
• Engage with technology vendors and internal teams to support solution assessment, implementation, and optimisation.
• Develop reports, business cases, and recommendations for stakeholders and project leadership.
• Support process improvement initiatives and ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and scalable.
• Translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes for a range of audiences.

About You

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within mining, resources, heavy industry, or operational environments.
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with complex datasets and performance reporting.
• Experience working on safety technology, digital transformation, operational technology, analytics, or technology-enabled improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and leading requirements gathering activities.
• Comfortable working directly with site-based stakeholders and operational teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical experts, vendors, and business leaders.
• Experience evaluating technology solutions and supporting implementation projects.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• A practical, collaborative approach and willingness to spend time in operational environments as required.
