Senior MongoDB Engineer

• Design, implement and enhance enterprise database platforms to support scalable and resilient technology solutions.
• Drive database security, governance and compliance initiatives across complex environments.
• Partner with engineering, architecture and delivery teams to provide technical expertise and solution guidance.
• Develop and improve automation capabilities using Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices.
• Lead performance tuning, optimisation and troubleshooting activities across critical database platforms.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and platform incidents.
• Create technical documentation and share best practices across engineering teams.
• Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience designing, administering and supporting enterprise MongoDB environments.
• Strong understanding of database security, encryption, governance and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with automation and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins or similar technologies.
• Strong performance tuning, optimisation and troubleshooting experience within large-scale environments.
• Exposure to database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB and other NoSQL platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience working across infrastructure, platform and cloud engineering environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and modern engineering practices.
• MongoDB certification or equivalent expertise highly regarded.
