Senior Network Engineer

This position is ideal for a senior engineer with extensive experience across Fortinet, F5 and Juniper SRX technologies, combined with strong design, implementation and troubleshooting capabilities. You will play a key role in both BAU operations and strategic infrastructure projects, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient and scalable network solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise network and security infrastructure.
• Manage, test and deploy changes to network security platforms and services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network and security performance across critical environments.
• Develop and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Conduct security policy reviews, compliance assessments and risk analysis.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and consultation to stakeholders across technology and business teams.
• Identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Support enterprise monitoring, logging and incident management activities.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years' experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls, including:
  • Firewall configuration, deployment and upgrades
  • Routing and troubleshooting
  • Security policy management and compliance
• Proven experience with Juniper SRX firewalls and security platforms.
• Strong experience designing, implementing and supporting F5 Load Balancers, including:
  • F5 LTM
  • F5 GTM
  • F5 APM
• Experience producing detailed technical and security design documentation.
• Strong enterprise routing and switching experience
• Experience with IPS/IDS policy configuration, implementation and analysis.
• Exposure to automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Python, Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant industry certifications across networking, security or load balancing technologies are highly regarded.
