The Robert Walters Group has announced the appointment of Coral Bamgboye as the permanent Global Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion – reporting directly into CEO Robert Walters.
Coral started her career with the Robert Walters Group in 2007 under the RPO arm of the business Resource Solutions, where she worked in senior on-site positions at a number of leading global firms, before taking on the role of Senior Operations Director responsible for the operational delivery and commercial management of accounts across EMEA and US regions.
During her tenure with the Group, Coral has led and chaired the firm’s Global Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Council, as well as getting involved at a grassroots level via numerous mentoring and coaching initiatives which have a particular focus on supporting youths from underprivileged backgrounds to prepare for the world of work.
“This is a key role to support our ongoing commitment to a working environment that promotes inclusion, dignity and respect for all – not only for our own employees, but for clients, candidates and other stakeholders we work with," said Robert Walters, CEO of the Robert Walters Group.
“The appointment of Coral not only allows us to make strides with our internal practices, but her expertise will mean that we are able to continue our work on promoting diverse hiring in our clients’ organisations.”
Whilst Coral is on maternity leave, the Group has appointed VERCIDA Consulting as the company’s global ED&I strategic partner. Experts in inclusion management, the VERCIDA team will support the Group in driving forward its ED&I change agenda.
VERCIDA Consulting is led by Dan Robertson, who will act as the Group’s ED&I strategic leader. Dan is widely recognised as a global expert in ED&I having been named as a Top 50 D&I Leader globally. He is also Chair of the Lord Mayor of London’s Power of Inclusion programme and brings with him over 25 years’ experience in supporting global businesses.
He and his team at VERCIDA Consulting will have responsibility for:
• Leading the Group’s ED&I strategy and action plan
• Developing internal expertise through training and education
• Driving best in-class service for clients (including diverse hiring practices and advisory services)
Earlier this month, Robert Walters published its leading strategic whitepaper Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace – the largest survey-led research into ED&I in the workplace in the past two years. Alongside this, Resource Solutions released Diversity: Practice Beyond Theory, a guide designed to help hiring managers identify and remove bias from their recruitment process.
