Brothers Rugby Club starts 2025 strong at the Australian Club Championships
Brothers Rugby Club kicked off the 2025 rugby season with a strong performance at the Australian Club Championships over the weekend, delivering an electrifying match against Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club. In front of a passionate home crowd at Crosby Park, Brothers displayed resilience and determination, pushing the game to a dramatic finish.
Easts dominated the first half, surging to a commanding 21-0 lead. However, Brothers refused to back down, staging a second-half comeback for the ages. Demonstrating their grit and skill, Brothers fought back fiercely, narrowing the gap to just two points by full-time. Despite their valiant efforts, the Bernard Power Trophy ultimately went to Easts, with the final score standing at 28-26.
Beyond the on-field action, the match was a true celebration of club rugby. Brothers Rugby Club showed their dedication to the game by hosting the event just a week after a cyclone forced a delay—an incredible testament to the club's commitment to the sport and its community.
