Brothers Rugby Club secures back-to-back StoreLocal Hospital Cup titles
In a thrilling match at Ballymore, Brothers Rugby Club defended their title in the StoreLocal Hospital Cup, securing a nail-biting 29-27 victory over Wests.
This marks the first time in two decades that the Cup has been retained by its holder, with Brothers becoming the first team to go back-to-back since Canberra’s Vikings achieved three consecutive wins from 2001 to 2003. It’s also the first time Brothers have accomplished this feat since their legendary five consecutive victories from 1980 to 1984.
Robert Walters is incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Brothers Rugby Club, a team that exemplifies the values of hard work, dedication, and excellence.
Hamish Winterbourn, Acting Head of Robert Walters Brisbane, expressed his pride: "Your back-to-back wins are a testament to the relentless pursuit of excellence exhibited by the Brothers Rugby Club players, coaches, support staff, volunteers, and the broader Brothers community."
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the teams that participated in the finals weekend. Your passion and competitive spirit made this prestigious event truly memorable.
Brothers Rugby Club’s continued success not only highlights the exceptional talent within the team but also underscores the strong bonds and unity that exist within the rugby community. To achieve victory once is remarkable, but to do it again is truly extraordinary. We celebrate this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing Brothers Rugby Club’s winning streak continue in the years to come.
