Brothers Rugby Club triumphs in Australian Club Championship
Brothers Rugby Club kicked off the 2024 club rugby season with a remarkable victory, securing their first Australian Club Championship win since 2010. In a thrilling match on Saturday, March 16, Brothers defeated the renowned Randwick District Rugby Union Football Club with a score of 25-18, claiming the prestigious Power Challenge Trophy.
The match, held at Crosby Park, drew a record crowd of over 5,000 passionate supporters. Fans were treated to a spectacular display of interstate club rugby, featuring standout performances from representative players on both sides. Brothers were bolstered by the talents of Reds fly-half Lawson Creighton and Junior Wallabies and Reds winger Tim Ryan, while Randwick fielded 95-cap Wallaby Kurtley Beale in their iconic Myrtle Green.
